Traditional Assisted Living Communities
A home-like setting providing seniors personalized care for those whose health or well-being requires a higher level of support. The most common services offered include medication management and assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Housekeeping, meals, laundry, transportation services, and social programs and activities are typically included. Staff is available 24/7 to help with safety and support.
Independent Retirement Communities
Ideal for seniors who are looking for companionship and freedom from housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and meal preparation. These communities have the look and feel of a five-star hotel offering amenities such as a gym, bistros, hair salon, and lounges.
Memory Care Facilities
Support seniors living with Alzheimer's or dementia. They are designed to provide a safe, structured environment with set routines to lower stress for seniors diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia. They offer programs, activities, and events to help memory care residents work on their cognitive abilities. Staff are specifically trained to provide the quality of care needed for seniors with memory loss.
Respite, or Adult Daycare
A short-term care solution used to provide relief for seniors' primary caregivers. Respite care can be planned and scheduled in advance or used in an emergency situation. These services are provided at an assisted living community.
Residential Care Homes
Residential-style homes that accommodate a maximum of six senior residents at one time. Adult family homes have the most flexibility in the amount of care offered, based on need. Some specialize in memory care, others focus on developmental disabilities, and others are simply comfortable settings with like-minded peers and a nurse to remind you about your medications from time to time.

Does Medicare/Medicaid cover senior living?
Medicare does not cover the cost of senior living. Medicaid will generally help with assisted living costs. Medicaid does not pay for the room and board for the assisted living, but only can pay for the medical portion.
How much is the cost of monthly care?
The level of care differs from community to community and is determined by an assessment of your loved one's care needs.
Are veterans benefits available for long term care?
Yes, benefits are available. The VA provides supplemental income through the Veterans Pension to veterans and their widowed spouses. Then, veterans and spouses who require care and assistance may be eligible for Aid & Attendance financial benefits. Veterans and spouses who are homebound may qualify for additional benefits.
How much do our services cost?
There is no cost to seniors and their families. We are compensated by the senior housing community if there is a move.
What are some signs someone needs assisted living?
Signs include decline in physical or mental health, experiencing one or more falls, forgetting to take medications, poor hygiene, not eating properly, or no longer taking interest in favorite activities. Displaying signs of depression and isolation are also indicators that your loved one may not be safe at home any longer and would benefit from socialization, prepared meals, housekeeping, and 24/7 care.
